Population Visualizer
2005
Web Application
Created in Janet Murray's
Interaction Design Technology class
Population Visualizer uses the Google Maps API and current census data in order to illustrate county-to-county population flow across the United States.
After loading a state in the map to the left one can choose a county either by clicking on the county marker or selecting from a drop-down list. The county
statistics (the net gain or loss in population) is displayed in a text bubble. By clicking "Show Me", the map on the right loads data specific to that county. Please
visit the
project site. You can also find more detailed information on the
project description page.
