In September 2004 my friend Jess Bowling and I took over
Gallery 100 in the Woodruff Arts Center and filled it with our video debauchery:
I built five light boxes for my installation depicting stills from the
Sonic Landscapes series. I felt that it was fitting to show video stills this way as opposed to a print or photograph, furthermore, the whole room was darkened for the various projections for my and Jess's installations, so the pictures had to be illuminated somehow.
The installation consisted of four small LCD displays with headphones in-unit playing
Sonification,
Master Vampire,
Lobster!, and
Slideshow 4950, five light boxes, and a projector which cycled through about twenty pieces in the
Sonic Landscapes series.
In the exhibition there was audio content in the projection above, but not for this recording. To see the video with audio please refer to the computational media section
on the menu to the left.
